Hip Old Town Fort Collins Wedding at the Elizabeth Hotel and Ginger & Baker

This sweet couple had their wedding in downtown Fort Collins, with their first look at The Elizabeth Hotel in Old Town, after which they walked to their ceremony and reception venue Ginger and Baker. They are two of the hippest foodies in town, and we were so excited to be a part of their love story.

Rachel and Isaac have known each other for six years now, being engaged for two, and moved together to Fort Collins to settle down in this awesome town and grow the food community. Here is their engagement story in their own words:

“Isaac reenacted our first official date which was magical on its own. We went to the signature lounge on the 95th floor in the Hancock building and saw the entire Chicago skyline. We strolled around Millennium park and he proposed in front of the Buckingham fountains in Grant park. The ring box was hand-made by Isaac- shaped like an orange. (We call each other media naranja, meaning soul mate or better half. It literally translates into half of an orange, which the ring box was two orange halves that fit together) The rest of the night we celebrated and found this random pop-up tiki hut by the river and drank mai-tais. Continuing in celebration we stayed at the Sofitel Hotel- we knew the Chefs there and they sent us a beautiful charcuterie board and truffles/champagne. Every where we went, we knew a chef and they treated us to something special. We even ended up getting free manicures at Mojo spa. We kept our engagement a secret from our families through the weekend and enjoyed our blissful weekend together in Chicago.”

When asked to describe one another in one word, they said:

Isaac on Rachel: “Kind”

Rachel on Isaac: “media naranja- or just media. He is my better half.”

This power-couple is making waves in the local food industry, with farm-to-table dinners, delicious cakes and pastries, and a love story to last a lifetime. Congrats Rachel and Isaac, and thank you for letting us capture your wedding day!
